Friday, December 10th, 2010

People’s District and Rachel Estabrook present the first in a series of audio portraits of D.C.’s religious leaders.Today, we share the story of Reverend Robert M. Hardies, senior minister at All Souls Unitarian Church at 2835 16th Street NW.

The church was founded in 1821 as the First Unitarian Church of Washington, among its founders was President John Quincy Adams. The church has a long tradition of promoting social justice, getting involved in issues such as slavery, women’s rights, civil right, the Vietnam War, gay marriage, and many others.
